Sisters fighting over me
Dear Pastor,
I am 19 years old and I am having a problem with my girlfriend, who is 17.
I met her at her sweet 16 birthday party. It was her sister who invited me. Since that time we have become very good friends. I did not have a girlfriend, so she became my girlfriend. She was still in school, but every week I gave her money to help her.
I found out through the sister who invited me to the party, that she was seeing another man. I asked her about it and she said the relationship with the other man was not serious. I told her that I was very jealous of her, so she should stop that relationship, which she did not do.
One day she and I got into an argument and she told me to go and do such and such to my mother, and I slapped her and told her to have respect for my mother. She repeated what she said. I stopped giving her money and I told her that the other fellow would have to give her money. She told me that if that is what I wanted, she would also have to have sex with him. I told her to go right ahead, but I did not expect her to do so. Her sister told me that she would take her place, because she and her boyfriend had broken up.
I took on her sister, but now the both of them are fighting over me. It is a very bad situation, because I still have feelings for my girlfriend who told me what to do with my mother. She has apologised to me. Do you think that I should forgive her? I really do love her.

Dear N.,
Your so-called girlfriend doesn't have any respect for you. She should not have told you what you should go and do with your mother.
She is disrespectful, and you were correct in ending the relationship with her. But having said that, I would also like to say that you should not have become intimate with her sister, either. You have put yourself into trouble. I suggest that you do not go back to your girlfriend, and neither should you continue to be intimate with her sister.
Pastor
