Engineer crushed by truck at Montego Bay Bypass

Gloom and sadness have gripped workers at the Montego Bay Bypass in St James following the death of a colleague in a freak accident this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Clifton James, an engineer attached to Stanley Consultants.

James was reportedly measuring an area of the construction site near Granville, St James, at about 10 a.m. when a truck allegedly reversed into him, crushing him.

The tragic incident sent shockwaves through the worksite as colleagues mourned the loss of the engineer.

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are currently at the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
