Dunbeholden's coach Lenworth Hyde is optimistic about their participation in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup, believing there are positives to be taken from their 1-0 loss to Harbour View in their Group B encounter at Sabina Park on Wednesday.

According to Hyde, it was a hard loss for Denbeholden, as they created the lion's share of chances. He is confident they can turn the tide when they play Atletico Pantoja of the Dominican Republic in that country tomorrow.

"I spoke to my players after the game, and my talk was 'excellent performance'. We played well in all departments. It is just a pity we couldn't get one of those goals. We made numerous goal attempts, and I must lift my hat to the Harbour View goalkeeper. I think he had an excellent game," Hyde opined.

"It is our first game, and most of the things we practised, I saw it in the game, so that is a plus for us.

"We just have to be more patient in front of goal. We will get it as long as the season carries on, the players will improve and start to believe in the system. It is a work in progress and we have to continue to work hard," Hyde said.

He said starting a competition on a losing note is never ideal, but he thinks it's the best time to lose as it affords them time to rebound.

"It is tough to lose a game like this. The good thing is that it catches us in the first game, so we have time to recover. I hope we can turn the result and get back on track," he said.

Hyde thought their finishing was their biggest letdown on the day and contends they must improve to progress in the tournament.

"In football, you create and create, and you make one mistake' and it costs you. We have to continue working in front of the goal and do a lot of finishing because we didn't get to do a lot of that. We have to focus on finishing," he said.
