Cardi B to headline BZR WKND in Jamaica

Global rap superstar Cardi B is heading to Jamaica this October for what promises to be a massive homecoming of sorts, as the Grammy Award-winning artiste makes her Caribbean headlining debut at BZR WKND Jamaica 2026.

Cardi B will headline Cardi B & Friends on Sunday, October 18, the grand finale of the three-day BZR WKND festival.

The superstar's Jamaican appearance is particularly fitting given the deep influence dancehall and Jamaican culture have had on her music and public persona over the years.

Cardi has repeatedly shown love for Jamaica, its music and its culture, with her connection to the island extending beyond simply sampling its sounds.

In 2022, Cardi B celebrated her birthday in Jamaica, sharing moments from her trip with her millions of fans and once again putting the island in the international spotlight.

Her appreciation for Jamaican music was also on full display during her Little Miss Drama Tour, when she brought dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel on stage as a surprise guest, sending fans into a frenzy.

That longstanding love affair with Jamaica is now set to reach another level when she touches down for her first-ever headlining stadium concert in the Caribbean.

BZR WKND Jamaica will run from October 16 to 18, with organisers expecting more than 50,000 attendees throughout the weekend.

The festival will open with the BZR WKND Welcome Party on Friday, October 16, followed by the TIDAL RAVE Beach Party: WYFL Edition on Saturday, before Cardi B & Friends closes out the weekend on Sunday.

Organiser Ryan Burke said the festival had to return bigger following the success of its inaugural staging.

“Following the incredible success of our inaugural event, we knew BZR WKND had to return even bigger,” Burke said.

Roy “Gramps” Morgan, another organiser, said Cardi B's involvement represents a major moment for the festival and Jamaica's entertainment industry.

“Cardi B is one of the biggest artistes in the world, and her first-ever headlining stadium concert in the Caribbean represents a defining moment not only for BZR WKND but for Jamaica's live entertainment industry,” Morgan said.

Beyond the music, organisers are billing BZR WKND as a celebration of Caribbean culture, fashion, food, nightlife and tourism, with VIP experiences and international and regional artistes expected to join Cardi B.

Additional performers, ticket information, travel packages and festival experiences are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

For Cardi B, however, the Jamaican appearance is likely to be more than another major concert stop — it is a chance to celebrate a culture that has long influenced the sound, style and energy of her music.
