Man dies while loading milk onto truck

Shock rippled through Spanish Town, St Catherine yesterday after a man working on a truck in the busy town centre fell and suffered fatal injuries.

The man, whose identity had not been established up to press time, was reportedly unloading cases of condensed milk on Morrison Street when tragedy struck.

Reports are that about 10:20 a.m. on August 17, the man fell while working on the truck and hit his head, leaving him unresponsive.

He was rushed to the Spanish Town General Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The sudden death left bystanders stunned, with several people expressing shock at what they had witnessed.

“Mi just see him drop and dem tek him up to hospital. It sad day him really dead,” one bystander said.

The circumstances surrounding the fall remain unclear.

The Spanish Town police are investigating and are seeking to establish the identity of the deceased and determine exactly how the fatal accident occurred.
