Jamaican winger Demarai Gray joins Damion Lowe in 2021, goalkeeper Andre Blake, Jermaine Taylor and Kemar Lawrence in 2017 as Reggae Boyz to be included in the Concacaf Gold Cup's Best XI following the naming of the team yesterday.

The player was the Reggae Boyz' top performer at the tournament, where he scored two goals and provided two assists to help the Reggae Boyz reach the semi-finals, where they lost 3-0 to Mexico.

His performance in the just-concluded tournament was recognised with his selection to the Concacaf's Best XI.

The Everton forward, who has played only five games for Jamaica, all in the recent Gold Cup, set up Damion Lowe in the opening game, which ended 1-1 with the United States of America (USA).

In the second game against Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago, he scored twice in a 4-1 win. In the quarter-final against Guatemala, his sublime pass set up Amari'i Bell for the game's only goal.

Meanwhile, finalists Mexico and Panama claimed nine places on the Best XI, with champions Mexico having five selections, the most by any country. This includes goalkeeper Guillermo Achoa, defenders Johan Vasquez and Jorge Sanchez and midfielders Luis Chavez and Oberlin Pineda.

Four Panamanians made the list in defender Fidel Escobar, midfielders Adalberto Carrasouilla, Edgar Barcenas and forward Ismael Diaz.

American winger Jesus Ferreira was the other player named to the Best XI.
