Cardi B gives first look at new hair care venture
Grammy-winning rap superstar Cardi B has officially stepped into the beauty business with the announcement of her brand-new venture, GrowGoodBeauty, a haircare line she says has been years in the making.
The outspoken Bronx native, born Belcalis Almanzar, took to social media to break the news, revealing that her hair journey inspired the project.
"It took me about, since 2016 to now, to grow my hair," Cardi B shared in the clip. "I'm not gonna tell you what I'm using for it because I gotta test it out first on myself."
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker, who proudly introduced herself as "Belcalis, Bronx girl, mother of four, walking down the block," made it clear that this is not a random celebrity cash grab. Instead, she says GrowGoodBeauty is a passion project she has been quietly developing behind the scenes for years.
"I am very passionate about this and I really love this," she said, adding that she has been deeply involved in the formulation process.
In the video, Cardi teased the science behind the products, hinting that the line focuses on strengthening hair from the inside out.
"Did we build it inside the hair or are we coating on the outside, or maybe we do both? We're doing everything," she said excitedly. "We want Bi***'s hair to grow."
The announcement struck a personal chord as Cardi reflected on her complicated relationship with her natural hair growing up.
"When I was younger, I really, really used to hate my hair," she admitted. "Now that I'm older, I grew to love it, appreciate it, and it's really a part of me."
Proudly embracing her texture, she declared, "This ain't f up hair. This natural, natural, strong hair."
While Cardi has yet to reveal specific products or a launch date, fans are already buzzing online, eager to see what the rapper turned entrepreneur has been working on.
