With the Red Stripe Premier League preliminary stage at an interesting point in the season, several clubs are hoping to keep pace in order to make the top four while others are fighting to avoid relegation.

The league continues tomorrow with five games scheduled. Looking at the fixtures, the most interesting appears to be the one between Harbour View FC and fast-rising Cavalier at Harbour View Stadium, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Both clubs are locked on 27 points and a win for either will go a long way to securing a top-four finish.

Cavalier had a rough 2015 but have been on a three-match winning streak since the start of the New Year. On the other hand, Harbour View have been inconsistent but have home advantage in tomorrow's encounter.

Technical director of Cavalier Rudolph Speid says the target for his club is safety first.

"We are approaching the game as any other. We want to play good defensively and continue to score goals," Speid told STAR Sports yesterday.

"We are coming off three straight wins, but the focus is not on the top four. Our target remains getting 40 points in order to stay in the league next season," he reasoned.

Cavalier will be looking to new recruits such as AndrE Dawson and Cleon Pryce as well as influential captain Chevonne 'Messi' Marsh to continue their winning ways.

On the other hand, Harbour View have been blowing hot and cold, but playing at home the aim is to get it right.

Coach Ludlow Bernard said recently that they will be focusing on team effort to get the goals. However, Sheldon McKoy, Nicholas Beckett, and John Ross-Edwards are expected to lead the charge for a win.

In other games, Humble Lion are expected to get the better of struggling Waterhouse; Montego Bay could bounce back to winning ways against Rivoli United; the Reno and Boys' Town clash could go either way while UWI FC are given the nod against Tivoli Gardens.
