Vaxzein releases debut album

Following growing support from FM radio in the United Kingdom and Jamaica, reggae and dancehall recording artiste Vaxzein has officially released his debut album, ‘The Memoir’.
More than a collection of songs, The Memoir serves as a soundtrack to Vaxzein’s life experiences. Through heartfelt storytelling, authentic lyricism, and emotionally driven performances, the album explores the challenges and triumphs that have shaped his journey while delivering messages of hope, perseverance, and self-belief. The 14-track project features collaborations with several artistes, blending reggae and dancehall with contemporary Caribbean influences to create a sound that is both uplifting and deeply reflective.
The album’s lead single, Thankful, which was released on June 11, has become a favourite with audiences through its powerful message of gratitude in the face of adversity and has continued to gain momentum since its release. The single has received airplay on stations including BBC Radio 1Xtra in the United Kingdom, and FAME 95 FM in Jamaica, where it has been warmly received by listeners. This early support has helped introduce Vaxzein’s music to wider audiences and reflects the growing recognition of his authentic storytelling and distinctive reggae and dancehall sound.
The release of The Memoir also marked a significant personal milestone for Vaxzein and his family, commemorating two years since their migration to the United Kingdom. That anniversary adds another layer of meaning to the project, symbolising sacrifice, adaptation, and the pursuit of new opportunities. These experiences are woven throughout the album, making it a sincere reflection of both personal and artistic growth.
Born in Spanish Town and raised in Old Harbour, St Catherine, Vaxzein draws inspiration from personal experiences and everyday life to create music that connects through meaningful messages and relatable narratives.
