As the excitement surrounding the world’s premier football competition increases, Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum is creating opportunities for fans across Jamaica to come together and enjoy the action.

Throughout July, the brand has scheduled a series of watch parties to combine football, entertainment, food and camaraderie, delivering ultimate match-day experiences. The six watch parties will be hosted islandwide at select locations, giving football supporters the chance to enjoy key tournament fixtures in a vibrant atmosphere. Participating venues include The Pub Bar & Grill, Summit and D’Lux Restaurant & Gaming Lounge in Kingston; Murray’s and The Wharf Estate in Clarendon; QQ Gaming Lounge in Westmoreland; and Beer Grillz Sports Bar in Portmore, St Catherine.

The watch parties will take place on July 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, and 19, coinciding with key fixtures in the tournament’s knockout stages. The watch party series forms part of Wray & Nephew’s broader ‘Jamaica Wins the World’ campaign and complements the brand’s ongoing ‘Every Win Needs a Wray’ promotion. The promotion rewards consumers who purchase bottles of Wray & Nephew with opportunities to win lifestyle prizes, extending the excitement of the tournament beyond match day.

Among the latest winners is 25-year-old Rasheed Byers, whose winning call came during an ordinary moment that quickly turned extraordinary.

“I was in my mum’s car in front of her house, waiting for my brother, and then I got the call that I had won. He was more excited than even me,” Byers said. The prize, an iPhone 17, was particularly meaningful for the young winner, who plans to pass along the benefits of his good fortune.

“Winning means I get a better phone, and I get to upgrade my brother’s phone. So that’s a win-win,” he explained. While luck played a role in securing the prize, Byers said he was simply happy to have won. With other lifestyle prizes available in the promotion, including recliner chairs, he noted that any reward would have been appreciated.

“At Wray & Nephew, we know that football is about more than what happens during the 90 minutes. It’s about community, culture and shared moments. Through these watch parties and our consumer promotions, we’re creating opportunities for Jamaicans to celebrate together and be rewarded while doing so,” said Kerry Ann Bryan, brand manager of Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum.

Customers are encouraged to visit participating locations, enjoy the matches responsibly and take advantage of opportunities to win through the Every Win Needs a Wray promotion throughout July.
