Dovey Magnum and Cartadon heat up summer

Dancehall artistes Dovey Magnum and Cartadon are gearing up to inject fresh energy into the summer season with a new joint single titled Motion.

The track is produced by USA-based label Boston Boys Records. Cartadon expressed confidence that the collaboration is poised for impact.

“The song hot like di summer, and the video a guh raise eyebrows, trust me,” he said.

Dovey Magnum, who has recently been gaining attention online for her refreshed image, brings a sultry and melodic delivery to the track, while Cartadon balances the record with a more rugged yet charismatic tone.

Producer Mike Haley of Boston Boys Records said the collaboration was intentionally crafted to deliver a different energy from current trends dominating dancehall.

“I like to think out of the box. As such, I wanted to create a record that brings back woman-and-man interaction, as opposed to the chopping and badness songs that are flooding the street at present,” the producer said.

He added: “This song has a feel-good vibe. It is catchy and it is the kind of street love story that works well in dancehall. I think the industry needs more content like this and, with that being said, I am confident that this song will dominate dancehall.”
