What started as a routine stop to buy another lottery ticket turned into the biggest moment of one Jamaican man's life after he discovered he was the lucky winner of a staggering $258.5 million Super Lotto jackpot.

The new multi-millionaire, Mr A. Byfield, struck gold after matching the winning numbers 6, 12, 14, 18, 21, with Super Ball 2 in the June Super Lotto draw.

Ironically, Byfield had broken from his usual routine. Instead of buying his regular Lotto ticket, which he normally purchases on Tuesdays and Fridays, he opted to play Super Lotto.

He only realised he had won after visiting his local lottery retailer to buy another ticket.

While there, he learnt that someone from that very outlet had won the massive jackpot.

Moments later, he discovered that winner was him.

"Thank you, Jesus!" were the first words that escaped his lips.

"My workers were looking at me, with no idea what had just happened, but all I could say was, 'Yes! Thank you Jesus!'" Byfield recalled.

The first person he shared the life-changing news with was his wife.

A devoted family man, Byfield said the windfall will allow him to expand his business while giving his loved ones the financial security they have always dreamed of.

"This win means I can finally put real resources behind the business I've been building," he said.

"It also means my family won't have to worry the way we used to, and that's the part that means the most to me."

Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Ventures Gaming, Stefan Miller, congratulated Byfield on his life-changing prize.

"Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do, to make winners every day! We're thrilled to see another Jamaican life transformed, and we congratulate Mr Byfield on this incredible win," Miller said.

Byfield is Jamaica's second Super Lotto jackpot winner for 2026.
