Frassman Brilliant’s ‘Defiance’ tops video chart

Dancehall artiste Frassman Brilliant and producer Realjedii are celebrating a career milestone as the video for the song ‘Defiance’ topped the US iTunes video chart on Sunday.

This marks a triumphant moment for both the artiste and the Jedii Musiq label. Released on May 29, Defiance serves as the lead single from Realjedii’s upcoming third compilation album. The official music video, which debuted on May 31, immediately resonated with audiences, propelling the visual to the top of the charts and solidifying Frassman Brilliant’s status as a force in the global dancehall scene.

“Defiance is just who I am and will always be, so I am just speaking from a real place as far as the song is concerned,” said Frassman Brilliant, reflecting on the personal nature of the record. The track’s unapologetic energy and authentic message have clearly struck a chord with fans. Realjedii expressed his excitement about the collaboration and the song’s reception.

“This collaboration with Frassman Brilliant came from a mutual place, being that we have musical chemistry working together. We spoke for a while before I sent him the instrumental, and the rest is history,” Realjedii said.

He added that a compilation project is currently shaping up to be a six-track EP, with Defiance leading the charge.
