Gunmen riddle 42-y-o 'Drawsy' with bullets near Old Harbour

A 42-year-old man is fighting for his life after gunmen travelling in a white Toyota Axio allegedly ambushed him near Old Harbour in the early hours of Tuesday morning, riddling him with bullets before speeding away.

The injured man has been identified as Andrew Edwards, otherwise called "Drawsy."

According to police reports, at about 3:50 a.m. on July 29, Edwards was walking home when he reached the vicinity of OJ Plaza in Bushy Park, St Catherine.

It is alleged that the occupants of a white Toyota Axio suddenly pounced on him and opened a barrage of gunfire, hitting him multiple times before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle.

Edwards sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand, back and abdomen.

He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.

Detectives in the St Catherine Police Division are investigating the shooting and searching for the gunmen.
