Teen held with gun, ammo

A teenager is now in police custody following the seizure of a home-made firearm and one 9mm round of ammunition at a shop along the Mammee Bay main road in St Ann yesterday.

Reports from the St Ann's Bay police are that about 1:20 a.m., lawmen carried out a raid at the shop at which the teenager was a patron. A search of the premises and his person resulted in the seizure of the firearm and ammunition.

Police said his court date will be announced later.

Investigations continue.
