Dyum thrilled about iTunes chart-topping album

Initially known in many musical and social media spaces as Tifa’s ex-fiance, Dyum has proved to his detractors that he is a serious recording artiste.

The singjay, who has also served in the military, said he is very excited about the fact that his debut album has entered several international charts, including scoring an impressive No. 6 spot on the USA iTunes Reggae Albums Chart. According to Dyum, he feels elated about the success of the project thus far.

“I am extremely thankful to everyone who has been supporting the movement. It has a been a rewarding and fun journey thus far. It feels great to see my debut album on charts with legendary artistes like Bob Marley, Shaggy, Sean Paul and many other amazing artistes. This just goes to show that the sky is the limit once you put in the work,” Dyum stated.

The album, Voice Inside, was released on July 10 and entered the USA iTunes Reggae Albums Chart on July 29. It peaked at No. 6 on the chart the following day. Dyum, who has been enjoying a major buzz on social media, said he has a melting pot of music cooking up.

“I am a workaholic and a creative, so expect nothing but greatness. I am not here to make up space. I have some really amazing music to release, but for now, just gwaan stream di album ‘cause me nuh want fi compete with myself,” Dyum stated.

The St Ann native is currently gearing up for promotional stints in the USA and the United Kingdom, including several performances. Dyum recently released the visuals for his single titled Portland Gyal, which is featured on Voice Inside.
