Dancehall sensation and fashion trailblazer Moyann is riding high on a fresh wave of excitement after signing a new management deal with Canadian-based recording label, Protocol Entertainment.

Known for her infectious energy and magnetic stage presence, Moyann told THE STAR she is already feeling the "family-like energy" from her new team.

"It was really just the energy - because I'm an energy girl, I work off a vibe and my instinct, and yes I needed a change. I knew I needed a change and after the call I had [with Protocol Entertainment] I liked the energy, so I just worked with my vibes ," the Boss Up artiste shared.

Reflecting on her journey so far, Moyann described her career as "colourful and fun," noting that her past collaborations have been meaningful but are now giving way to this exciting new chapter.

"All good things [must] come to an end. This is the start of a new chapter, and I must say I am excited to see the outcome because everything looks very promising" Moyann stated.

Randy Mundell, the owner of Protocol Entertainment--also known in industry circles as Protocol Boss--echoed Moyann's excitement. He revealed that the label has admired her work ethic and passion for music for quite some time.

"I've always been admiring her, and then she was strongly recommended to us, and I kinda put her on a probation, trying to observe her and so forth and up on doing so, we realise her work ethics are very strong and she's very passionate for the music," Protocol Boss told THE STAR.

He said the deal, which was signed just three weeks ago, has already been reaping international benefits for the young superstar who is booked to make her debut performance at one of Toronto's biggest music festival - Ultra Caribbean Music and Food Festival on September 27, 2025.

Moyann is slated to share stage with other local dancehall hotshots such as Aidonia, Masicka, Malie Donn and Stalk Ashley.

Protocol Boss, who has managed international bookings for the likes of Queen Ifrica, Byron Messia and Malie Donn, also confirmed plans for a one-month tour to support Moyann's upcoming EP, Miss Toxic, alongside Caribbean shows and surprise international collaborations.

Beyond the music, Protocol Entertainment is investing in Moyann's growth as a leader. Protocol Boss revealed the launch of the Moyann Foundation, a philanthropic initiative aimed at giving back to communities, signalling a deeper purpose behind the label's partnership with the multifaceted artiste.

While remaining tight-lipped about future collaborations and brand deals, Protocol Boss hinted at "big things" on the horizon.

"It's a very big journey with a lot of big things coming," he shared.

Moyann, meanwhile, remains focused on expanding her global footprint. She dreams of landing a collaboration with rap superstar Nicki Minaj.

The Meech Out artiste eagerly looks forward to expanding her musical wings and growing her international fan base. She says the engagement with Protocol provides her with the opportunity to grow even more. She has vowed to leave the past behind and to deliver high quality songs.

"The music will be similar but 10 times better because I'm in a better place mentally, doing the music with a supportive team around me, bringing good energy; and yuh know when music mek outta good energy, it only can be exceptional," she said.

Moyann is looking forward to releasing her debut six-track EP, Miss Toxic, which she confidently describes as "the baddest project from a female dancehall artiste."

"Mi a beat mi chest and seh dat-- it's gonna be fiery - from the start to di end a just fire and addi baddest project coming outta Jamaica," she said.
