Ex-boyfriend wanted to try anal sex

March 04, 2026

Dear Pastor,

I am 22 years old and I find myself in love with a man who is 29. This man introduced me to his family.

His sister, who is my age, questioned me as to why I had to get involved with her brother. I told her it is because I love him. She said her brother is engaged to be married and his fiancee is living in New York. I told her that I am aware that he has a woman in New York, but their relationship is not working out, and so he is planning to visit New York and tell her about me.

I didn't see him for two weeks, and then he showed up. I asked him what was the matter, and he said his New York girlfriend paid a surprise visit to Jamaica, so he was busy with her. His story didn't sound straight. He tried to have sex with me, but it was not the normal way, so I objected strongly. He has tried to have sex with me that way before, but I objected. So he came back with the same foolishness.

Looking at him, he is a nice man, but I ended our relationship because I cannot consent to do anal sex. He wants me, but at the same time, he wants to keep his girlfriend in New York because he can have his way with her. I promised him that I would not tell anybody that that is the type of sex he likes. He tried to assure me that if I do it, I will enjoy it. I told him that no one would mess with my anus other than my doctor who has to examine me.

I miss this man, but we had to go our separate ways. He was not a mean man. He gave me anything I wanted.

Dear M.C.,

You know that you should not engage in anal sex and that is what your boyfriend wanted you to do.

Therefore, you parted company. From the beginning of the relationship, he should have told you that anal sex is his preference. Let this man go his way. You know what the Good Book says about anal sex. I hope you will find a good man in the near future.
