NWA to repair damaged section of Constant Spring Road

Emergency work is slated to begin today on a section of Constant Spring Road in St Andrew that was damaged this morning. 

According to the National Works Agency (NWA), a damaged sewer line caused major failure on the roadway, and as a result, three of the five lanes have been closed to vehicular traffic. 

The NWA will be working with the National Water Commission to have the sewer line repaired.

The three lanes will remain closed for at least the next three days while the repair work is being undertaken.

Meanwhile, motorists are being advised to use alternate routes where possible.
