Escapees recaptured in Westmoreland
Thirty-year-old Marvin Wilson, otherwise called 'Grave Digger', of Lucea, Hanover, one of four prisoners who had escaped from the Whithorn police lock-up on Wednesday, January 13, is back in police custody.
Wilson, who is charged with murder, was captured during a confrontation with the police, about 9:15 a.m., on Wednesday.
During the fracas, he sustained gunshot injuries. A 9mm Browning Pistol and 25 9mm rounds were seized during the incident. He is in hospital under police guard.
The police recaptured another of the escapees, Dandre Hyman, a day later. A third, Romaine Jenkinson, was fatally shot by the police in Westmoreland on Thursday, January 28.
The fourth escapee, Orlando Jarrett, who is charged for housebreaking and larceny, remains on the run.
