Wasp collaborates with legend Cutty Ranks

Dancehall artiste Wasp has teamed up with the legendary Cutty Ranks for the single Top Shottaz, which has been generating plenty of excitement on the dancehall scene.

"People love the Top Shottaz song, the response has been crazy. The people love the '90s sound, that old-school dancehall element, and we just bring a new, fresh vibe to it and they just love the energy," Wasp said.

The song, which was produced by DJ Jahmar, has been added to Spotify's top dancehall playlists and sev,eral other international playlists on other streaming platforms.

"It is a great vibe to work with the legendary Cutty Ranks. I have been a fan from the '90s, and one of my favourite songs is Wait de Man I have been a fan since then. Cutty Ranks has a commanding voice, so it is always a good energy to work with him. We always talked about doing something and when I reached out to him, him never hitch; him just mash it up," he said.

Cutty Ranks is known for hits such as A Who Sey Mi Done, Retreat, The Stopper and Six Million Ways. He scored a major hit among Gen Z streamers with Dame Tu Cosita, a lively Spanish reggaeton song alongside Panamanian artiste El Chombo, which surpassed 4.4 billion streams on YouTube.
