Dancehall artiste Finga Quenga believes that he is on the verge of a breakthrough with his latest release, Stuck Inna Mi Ways.

"The feedback on this song has been magnificent so far. The streets dem say is a real hit so the video is coming soon. I also have a follow-up song with Fully Bad and 10tik coming soon as well; mi ah mek a major step inna 2024," said the artiste, whose given name is Ramone Simmons.

Finga Quenga grew up in Spanish Town, St Catherine, and got involved in music when he started hanging out with his friend, noted videographer-producer 9 Mile and his brother Krymist.

"They're always telling me I got the sound for music and so I just try it one day with them and it started to work," he explained.

The first song he ever recorded was Little Protect, which was released one year ago, but the song didn't get proper promotion. A few months later, he started to heat up the streets with the release of the single Bingo We Bingo, which he said "really put me on the map in a real way".

"The reaction was marvelous and [people were] supportive throughout all the garrison communities from Kingston to Spanish Town," he said.

Finga Quenga is fast-tracking plans to release an eight-track EP next year.
