Jahzeal details love triangle in ‘Toxic’

Dancehall artiste Jahzeal is making waves with the release of his newest single, Toxic, which is highly controversial yet equally sensual, as it details a love triangle.

"It is a very catchy and sensual song that is already garnering much love in the dancehall," he said.

Although not inspired by a personal experience, the track speaks about a love situation in which many persons have found themselves. The song was written from the perspective of a conceited character who is clearly in love with both women in the story, which is what makes it so toxic.

The steamy visual was released alongside the video on March 30 and is currently racking up views

on YouTube.

"We brought the heat with this one. Everyone on set was so professional, and [they] delivered. I have been getting so many positive comments; I know I definitely did something right with this video," he said.

Jahzeal has consistently been releasing music throughout his more than 10-year career. Among his 2022 singles were Try Harder, a collaboration with track star Usain Bolt which was produced by A-Team Lifestyle, and Colour Blind, which was produced by Dxminant Beatz.

"I'm always working on my craft and consistently putting out new music. I have lots more in store that will be coming out soon," he said.
