Jourdan wants to be a multi-genre artiste
Up-and-coming fusion artiste Jourdan does not believe in limiting himself to any one genre of music.
"My musical style is undefined because I am inspired by a variety of genres and cultures and subcultures. So, I'll produce whatever I am inspired by at that moment when I am in the creative zone," he said. The Manchester-born artiste said that he draws most of his inspiration from music of a certain era.
"There's something special about the music that was created in the '90s. You feel a different kind of energy when you listen to artistes from that era. Shaggy, Sean Paul, Maxwell, Donnel Jones, Shania Twain, and Craig David are some of my favourite '90s artistes," said Jourdan.
The singer is currently promoting a new single titled Easy, which was produced by Jay Edge on the JAW imprint.
"This is the first single off my album titled Hypnotized, which was released in October last year. This song and some of the other songs on the album are getting support from DJs in Jamaica, Europe, the USA, and other parts of the world," he said.
Jourdan, given name Joel Jordan Reid, was born and raised in Mandeville, Manchester's capital. He's a graduate of May Day High School.
