Kndra the Blrr pulls a fast one on ‘60 Seconds’

Spanish Town-based artiste Kndra the Blrr has released a cheeky song titled 60 Seconds, which pokes fun at the concept of young women bilking would-be sugar daddies out of money.

"I am just acting out a common part in a daily lifestyle adopted by quite a few ladies in Jamaica, where women dig money out through flirtation and promises; you know how the ting go," she said, laughing.

The single, which was released on the Musiverse label, revolves around a minute-long conversation between a wealth 'old' man and a woman who attempts to con him out of money, even after he has already bought her an apartment, and has become suspicious of her motives. Songs about women tricking men have long been popular in Jamaica, with songs like Super Cat's Boops and Michigan and Smiley's Sugar Daddy among them.

"It's just reality mixed with a little fun. The feedback has been very good. The clip gone viral, I can't complain. Mi just give thanks for the support," said the artiste, whose given name is Kendra Chang.
