Antonio joins TNT Sports punditry team
Reggae Boy and former West Ham striker Michail Antonio has joined the TNT Sports punditry team ahead of the start of the 2025-26 English Premier League season.
The announcement was made by TNT Sports on Monday. It comes comes days after West Ham and Antonio parted company after he spent 10 years at the club.
"It's in my name. I'm meant to be on the Mic! Can't wait for the new season with TNT!" Antonio said on Instagram.
Antonio, who made 323 appearances for West Ham and was part of the starting line-up in the 2023 Conference League final when West Ham ended their 43-year trophy drought, will now join a team of analysts at TNT Sports.
He will be joining former Tottenham and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, former England national Fara Williams, retired Scottish professional footballer Jennifer Beattie and Bristol City first-time coach Anita Asante.
The former Hammers striker who scored 83 goals for the club also served as a pundit for the broadcaster during the Conference League final between Chelsea and Real Betis in May.
While embarking on this new journey, Antonio says he still has hopes of playing football at the highest level again.
"I'm speaking to clubs right now to see where the best offer is for me to go, and we'll just see how it goes. To be honest, there's a mixture, we're talking to clubs here, we're talking to clubs abroad, but I'm going to leave it vague," he told talkSPORT.
This is not the first time the 35-year-old's professional football career has come to a halt as a nearly-fatal car crash in December caused him to sit out a number of months in order to recover.
Antonio, who resumed playing for the Reggae Boys after his recovery at the Concacaf Gold Cup during the summer says he also hopes to fulfil his dream of playing in the World Cup, with the upcoming staging being in the USA next year.
"That's one thing I've not managed to achieve for myself, to be playing in the World Cup, and Jamaica is very close to it. It's not just that, I just wouldn't want to my career to come to an end by a car crash, literally. So I've got something to prove to show that I can come back and play well," he said.
