43-y-o 'Fowl' charged with attempted rape

Forty-three-year-old Robert 'Fowl' Brown will be appearing before the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday answering to the charge of the alleged attempted rape of a woman in her home in Cressa Lane, Portmore in St Catherine.

Brown, of Orchid Close, Greater Portmore, has been charged with burglary and attempted rape.

Reports from the Portmore police are that at 11:00 p.m. on August 12, Brown allegedly forced opened the grille to the woman's house and gained entry.

He then entered the room where she was sleeping and attempted to have sexual intercourse with her against her will.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation launched, during which Brown was named as a person of interest.

He was subsequently arrested and charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
