Man in video drinking goat blood shot dead

A St James man who was seen in a social media video drinking blood from the head of a butchered goat was shot and killed at his home in a section of Discovery Bay, St Ann, known as Gaza, on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old, Kevin 'Big Dog' Grant, of Richmond Hill, in Bickersteth, St James. Reports by the Discovery Bay police are that about 10:45 p.m., Grant, who resides in a rented apartment, had just returned home from a party, and was preparing dinner when armed men forced their way inside his house and shot him multiple times. The police were summoned and upon arrival, Grant was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One man, who identified himself to be Grant's close friend, told THE ST AR that Grant was a strong believer in using the blood of animals and guard rings to ward off evil and to make his life more prosperous. However, the friend surmised that Grant was not wearing them at the time of the attack, and that is why he was gunned down do easily.

"Big Dog never did a wear him guard ring then because him never lef them yet. But mi hear seh is because him come home from the party and did hungry, and him did a cook. So it look like him tek dem off and a suh dem get fi run een pon him suh easy," said the man. "The boss always a use up his goat blood and him rooster blood, but it look like them really trick him this time mek them kill him suh easy. "
