Charly Black’s birthday bash rocks Carey Park

April 08, 2025

Dancehall star Charly Black celebrated his birthday in grand style on Saturday, delivering an electrifying performance at the Unstoppable Lounge in Carey Park, Trelawny.

The platinum and diamond-selling artiste was joined on stage by superstar Bounty Killer, who helped bring the night to a thrilling climax. The energy was high as fans packed the venue to party with Charly Black, and they were treated to a string of show-stopping performances. Dancehall favourite Teejay had the crowd vibing with ease as he rolled through a slew of hits under the cool early morning breeze.

But it was the legendary Bounty Killer who had the jam-packed venue rocking from side to side. The 'War Lord' delivered one of his most commanding sets in recent memory, his finger-raising fans offering salute after salute during his vintage-style performance. He ended with a heartfelt birthday tribute to Charly Black, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The night also featured strong performances from Avance, a rising protege of Charly Black's; the vibrant up-and-coming artiste D Queen; and Wilful Skilful, an emerging act being nurtured by Bounty Killer.

Even after the police signalled that the music had to stop, many patrons lingered, reluctant to leave what they described as a night well worth their money.

One female fan, who journeyed from miles away just to attend the celebration, gushed about her love for Charly Black.

"Everything 'bout the party nice. I really enjoyed myself, and I am glad because I came from far to be there. Charly Black is my favourite artiste when it comes to doing songs for the women to enjoy and dance to. Mi love him!" she exclaimed.

Charly Black, who is looking to release another album this summer, said he was happy with how things turned out.

"From mi people dem say dem love it, mi good. This is for them because they are the ones who made Charly Black," he said.
