Rielle upbeat after glowing endorsements
With recent endorsements from the likes of international rapper Busta Rhymes and renowned reggae singer Gyptian, Puerto Rican-American singer Rielle is poised to make mega music moves across the region.
According to the artiste, her ability to blend reggae, dancehall and island-pop will set her apart from others.
"I know what I want to achieve in this business and I'm working at those goals tirelessly. Already, I have received huge support and that has been such a privilege and an honour. It has certainly impacted my journey as an artiste, and it undeniably signals to the world that my label and I are on the right path by simply being authentic," she shared.
Speaking of authenticity, Rielle said that having fostered a fruitful work relationship with internationally renowned producer Christopher Birch, she is ready to embrace versatility.
"Although dancehall, reggae, and island-pop are fundamental genres that, as an artiste, I will continue to explore and create in, my artistry and vision do not confine me to stay there. This year my label and I are on a mission to display my versatility as an artiste by releasing as much music as we can, illustrating the genres that I am comfortable living in," she said. "Christopher Birch has said he doesn't view me as a singer that can be put in a creative box, and that is a sentiment that I and my team wholeheartedly agree with."
Rielle, who has spent time in Jamaica honing her musical skills, said her time here has led to many opportunities; she now plans to build on that.
"Jamaica has opened doors that I never deemed possible, so to be embraced with open arms is an honour and a blessing I intend to keep in mind moving forward. Realising that I am still able to convey complex ideas through an infectious beat has really impacted my overall artistry, and I plan to use that to grow my catalogue as I develop and mature," she shared.
Rielle is currently promoting her latest single, Sail Away. The track had Birch singing the entertainer's praises as he dubbed her "a dynamic talent with a unique sound that bridges cultures".
"She's a breath of fresh air, an amazing writer, singer, and voice," he said. "She has good energy, good spirit, and she's going to be a major player in this business as long as she puts her energy and focus into what she's doing." He said Sail Away could see Rielle becoming the region's next crossover talent.
Birch is known for his work on hits such as Shaggy's Hey Sexy Lady, Konshen's Bruk Off Yuh Back, and Wayne Marshall's Marshall Town. He has also worked with artistes such as Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Capleton and Sizzla.
