Jada Kingdom releases fiery new single
Mesmerising entertainer Jada Kingdom "had a blast" creating her latest track, ' G.A.D', which was released last Friday.
The sultry track, rich in bold energy and unapologetic confidence, has already turned heads. It delivers a message of self-assurance and independence, wrapped in an infectious beat that lingers. The title, G.A.D, is derived from the popular phrase 'Girls Are Drugs', often used by men to describe the irresistibility of women.
"I've heard some guys saying 'Girls Are Drugs,' and honestly, that cracked me up! If you know me, you know I'm all about celebrating the gal dem and representing, so I had to speak up. If we're going with the whole girls-as-drugs idea, let's be real - some guys can get a bit too hooked," she laughed.
The entertainer, who also goes by the name Twinkle, added, "It's funny how dudes often focus on women instead of taking a good look at themselves first. I had a blast making this song, and the playful controversy around it was all in good fun. One thing's for sure - I really went all out on that beat, and I hope you vibe a likkle bit to it."
With G.A.D, Jada Kingdom boldly showcases her unique ability to blend genres. The track is a testament to her musical evolution and fearless spirit in pushing boundaries.
Featuring dynamic electric guitar riffs paired with the artiste's mesmerising Jamaican patois, the song creates a vibrant fusion of modern dancehall and rock.
Jada Kingdom asserts herself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of men and money. The catchy chorus, "Word on the street is girls are drugs, dem a search fi di tightest buff," sets the tone for the song, blending a seductive, playful vibe with a powerful statement about self-worth.
She sings:
Every gyal man a show me love
Nah fall fi none, mi put mi feelings up
Just a girl in a money man's world
Mi a have my way, but muss
The song embraces a carefree attitude, with Jada Kingdom declaring that she is uninterested in emotional entanglements, focusing instead on happiness and a stress-free lifestyle.
G.A.D follows the success of Only You and Can't Tell Me That, which has received widespread acclaim, featuring on Spotify's Fever playlist, Tidal's Dancehall Massive playlist, and Pandora's Dancehall Queen playlist, among other notable mentions.
Jada Kingdom is eagerly preparing for the release of her next project--the highly anticipated follow-up to her acclaimed 2022 EP, New Motion. The upcoming project is set to feature G.A.D, Only You and Can't Tell Me That.
