Unapologetic Muziq releases ‘Miami Vibes’ project

Corey Wallace of Spanish Town-based production label Unapologetic Muziq has been the driving force behind the careers of dancehall sensation RajahWild and rising newcomers Insight and Glorii.

Actively involved in the production game for close to three years, Wallace has released his latest body of work, the 'Miami Vibes' rhythm. The project features the hard-hitting songs by RajahWild, ShaqStar, Glorii, Najeeriii, Insight, Bito and RaniRasta City. Other songs will be added to the project.

"Miami Vibes rhythm is different. Ever since the beatmaker Messiah sent it, the energy then connected, the sound was perfectly unmatched. We then brought it to the studio where we had Glorii record a song. From there, we started sending it to a few artistes to get in the vocals," said Wallace.

He said he learnt the art of production through trial and error. He made his production debut with Nuh Mercy by Insight, which was released in August 2022. The producer and artiste manager, who was raised between Angels and Ensom City in Spanish Town, studied at Eltham High School. He said the high point for him musically came about in 2023 when he produced breakout hit songs for RajahWild including Sin Out.

"Everything just went historical from there. We produced back-to-back hit songs like Carry On and Powder and the list goes on," said Wallace.

As it relates to working with other acts, Wallace lists Bayka, Malie Donn and Skippa among the more popular names.
