Rad Dixon covers Neil Diamond classic

A karaoke and sports favourite in the United States of America, Sweet Caroline, has been a hit with Jamaicans since it was first released in 1969.

Now, singer Rad Dixon has given the Neil Diamond classic a reggae touch. His version, which is produced by Tasjay Productions out of Toronto, Canada, was recently released. The singer said that it was producer Tasjay Smith's idea to cover the song, which is one of Diamond's biggest hits.

"He told me this could be a hit and it would work well with my voice, and it's already creating a storm from listeners so far," Dixon disclosed.

Sweet Caroline will be on Humility, Dixon's second album which is scheduled for release later this year. It also contains collaborations with Anthony B, Luciano and Teacha Dee. Hard Times, his debut album, was released two years ago. It was followed in 2024 by Giving Thanks For Life Riddim, an EP. Both projects were produced by Tasjay Productions.

Born in Manchester, Dixon has been recording music for more than 20 years. His songs include Write Your Name, Baby Don't Worry and Missing You.
