Jesse Royal, Munga Honorable and Tanya Stephens are just a few of the top acts confirmed for JACANA's '420' celebrations on April 20, which is recognised as International Cannabis Day.

JACANA will celebrate 420 by fusing it with great entertainment at all four of its dispensaries, with a special star-studded line-up concert in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and Portmore, St Catherine.

Both Jesse Royal and Munga Honorable have been signed ambassadors to JACANA for over two years. Their performances at both dispensaries will be paired with cannabis talks, sales promotions, displays, and several wellness talks and services on location.

"At our 420 celebrations, we will have good entertainment and sales promotions at all our stores, but Ocho Rios and Portmore will provide a special treat. JACANA takes prade in its relationship with customers, so the events are free to patrons, who will be entertained and educated on cannabis, while prioritising wellness" said Shane Palmer, director, JACANA.

In addition to catering to locals, JACANA's team will welcome tourists in Ocho Rios, as well as those who will arrive on the Celebrity Summit Cruise Ship.

Palmer added, "We are catering to roughly 1,000-1,500 patrons in Ocho Rios alone who want to learn more about cannabis and wellness, as well as cannabis enthusiasts. The Ocho Rios store opens at 8 a.m., with showtime at 2:30 p.m., while the Portmore store opens at 11 a.m., with showtime at 10 p.m."

April 20 is annually observed as the day on which cannabis consumers and producers celebrate and advocate for the legalising of marijuana for medicinal and recreational uses. From as early as the 1970s, consumers and producers celebrated the unofficial holiday. In recent times, 420 has become a global celebration.
