International recording artiste Jermaine Fagan released his latest single, Free, featuring Sizzla on February 10.

"This song was written and recorded to celebrate the achievements of black people. It is important to remind our people about what we have achieved as a great race of people who were taken from Mother Africa and scattered all over the world. We must also treasure our freedom and remember that until we free our minds from the mental shackles placed on us by our oppressors, we will never be absolutely free," said Fagan.

The easy-going deejay said it was a wonderful experience working with Sizzla.

"Sizzla is one of my artistes. His albums Black Woman and Child and Praise Ye Jah have made a profound impact on me, both as a songwriter and artiste. He is one of my greatest musical influences, [so] collaborating with him on this song was a wonderful experience. I am grateful to Stamma Ramma from New Road Entertainment and my studio engineer Jahnoi for helping to make this production a reality," he said. Free, which was produced by Fagan Free, was released on the Fagan Media imprint.

Some of Fagan's other songs are Move Your Body, featuring Sheba Di Diva; The Only One; and Work Hard, which he did with his son Amir.

Fagan, who is based in Atlanta, has also released three albums, More 2 Life (2005), Just A Simple Man (2007), and Cool Prince (2020).
