Omar is ready for the spotlight

Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Omar is looking forward to a bright future in the music business.

"To be a successful recording artiste has been my lifelong dream, and I intend to make this dream come true. I know it takes more than just talent to make it in the music business; it also takes hard work and dedication. That's why I'm working overtime to achieve my big break in the music business," said the artiste.

The singjay, who hails from Kingston, opined that his unique vocal style will help to make him a household name in dancehall music.

"I'm bringing something fresh to the dancehall game. I sing, deejay and rap. This gives me a clear advantage because I have mastered three different forms of musical expressions. I'm not a one-dimensional artiste," said Omar.

He is currently promoting his debut single Entrap, which he produced. It was released on his Omarecord$ imprint late last year.

"I am very happy with the response it's getting. It is receiving a lot of support from DJs both locally and overseas," he said. The hard-working entertainer is currently working on a special project.

"At the moment I am working on my debut album. It should be completed and ready for release very soon. I also plan to drop a few more singles before my album comes out," he said.
