Shellings returns after two-year hiatus

Popular St Catherine event Shellings will have its eighth staging on the grounds of Annex Plaza in Guy's Hill, St Catherine, on Christmas Eve.

Event promoters Linval Garriques and Delroy Lodge decided to host their annual event once again after seven consecutive stagings were interrupted by COVID-19 in 2020. The event was last held in 2019.

"Shellings has always exceeded everyone's expectations and we will be bigger and better this year. Our crowd grows each year and we are thankful for each supporter," said Garriques.

The party, which Lodge describes as the most anticipated event in Guy's Hills, will feature artistes such as Munga Honorable, Bayka, Maestro Don and Renee 6:30, with juggling from the likes of Stone Love and Bishop Escobar.

"We have grown over the years and we will keep on growing this year. The staging of Shellings is a package deal. We have a little of everything for everybody, no one will be disappointed. We believe music should soothe the trendy, the clubgoers, the young, the old, and the hardcore dancehall fans," said Lodge.

Garriques also promised a professional execution. "We will be offering a bar with the best selection of top-shelf liquor," he said.
