Sting promoter, Junior 'Heavy D' Fraser, has confirmed that a clash between A'mari DJ Mona Lisa and Queenie Ladi Gangsta will definitely take place at Sting on Monday, December 26 at Grizzly's Plantation Cove in St Ann.

"This is Sting and the people are calling for this clash. We got in touch with both A'mari and Queenie today [Thursday] and both agreed to fly to Jamaica to perform on Sting this year. Sting is back! The anticipation for this year's Sting is high. From morning I have been getting calls from the ticket outlets that they are running out, and I have been driving around and ensuring that they get replenished. The demand is high and this clash with A'mari and Queenie is going to make their fans excited," Heavy D told THE WEEKEND STAR.

A'mari, who has previoulsy stated that the Sting stage is the best space for her and Queenie to work out their difference lyrically, was ecstatic.

"It has been quite a journey. I was quite excited, but when they called me on the conference call, I didn't scream with excitement like when Nico reached a million views ... this time I managed to stay calm. The most touching moment was when [producer] Sikka texted me to say that he was proud of me. I said 'Wow'. I really look forward to this," A'mari shared.

The Money Laugh singer said that making their Sting debuts will be great for both her and Queenie's careers.

"This clash will be very good for both of us. And I want to emphasise that it will be the music doing the talking ... no bad words ... no cussing match. We are going to deal with it like two professionals and may the better artiste win ... and I know that will be me. I am prepared," A'mari stated confidently.

Like A'mari, Queenie said she is super excited.

"Mi and A'mari inna we 50s and we a show di young gyal dem say two menopausal woman a go shell di place. We a go put we hormones inna talent and show dem how we do it," Queenie said.

"See mi reach Sting ya, same by standing up fi myself. This is amazing and there is a first for everything. Right now a win, lose or draw and mi a get a chance to explore my talent. Mi just a go use natural talent on that stage. Memba say mi a new moon enuh, so anuh experience a do this, it's more talent. A first mi a go pon dem clash summen ya. Mi can sing mi song dem and mi can freestyle because mi super versatile," she said.

"A war season and it's a lyrical thing and a girl and woman power every time. We have to compete with each other to explore our talent so we a go let the people dem decide. The two a we a two queen still," added.
