Jay-5Flow is ‘in demand’
US-based dancehall artiste Jay-5Flow is gearing up for the release of the video for the single In Demand, which was previously released last December on the Run Bar rhythm.
"This video is going to do well because it has a definite summer vibe, pool party vibes, sexy girls, fast yachts, expensive cars. The world opened up for business and dancehall music is in demand right now," the confident deejay said. The video release was timed to coincide with the official start of the summer party season. Jay-5Flow plans to release a number of videos for singles from his upcoming album titled DNA.
"I will be shooting the So Loud video in November this year to coincide with the album's release on October 22. I pushed back the release date because I wanted to make sure that I give my fans a quality project," he said. The album was mixed by Black Spyda Records, Simpac Music, Redboom and Grammy-winning producer Dre Day.
Jay-5Flow is best known for the single Dancehall Macarena which got him a collaboration with Japanese, the biggest reggaeton artiste in Panama. It did extremely well in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, Peru, and Brazil.
Jay-5Flow, whose given name is Omar Forsythe, spent his early years in Ocho Rios, St Ann, but later migrated to the US. The entertainer said he got involved in acting while living in California.
In 2008, he inked a record deal with Spragga Benz's Red Square label and shortly after released his debut single Back Against the Wall. Other releases include Just Dance, Nuh Regular and Shake it Senorita.
