Curvy Diva, Demarco collab to heat up summer

Yanique Barrett, more popularly known as Curvy Diva, promised to make this summer a scorcher and the dancehall artiste is already delivering on that promise.

Dancehall artiste Demarco, the Lifestyle singer says she is ready to heat things up this season.

The track, Bunx Pon It, is expected to be released today (Friday) and will be available on all major digital platforms.

Curvy Diva, who has had her fans waiting patiently on new material, told THE WEEKEND STAR that she believes in quality over quantity and has therefore been waiting on the right moment to once again storm the music scene.

"I don't rush the process because I prefer to release quality songs than quantity. Demarco is known for quality so when I got the invite to come to Atlanta to record with him, I didn't hesitate. I enjoyed making this song and I'm sure the fans especially the ladies, will enjoy 'bunxing' to it too," she said.

Rave reviews

The track, which has so far only been teased on both artiste's Instagram pages, has already been getting rave reviews, according to the entertainers.

Curvy Diva believes in the track so much, it will be one of a few songs to be included on her upcoming EP.

"The song is going to go places, I can feel it. It has that vibe that I just know people will love and so I'm looking forward to what it will do."

The video for Bunx Pon It will be shot in short order and should be released come August.

Speaking of the EP, the entertainer revealed that said compilation could be ready for an official release by the end of September.

The project, Under-Estimated, will see the artiste showcasing her growth on a host of new tracks and will also include collaborations with Kranium and Gage.

Curvy Diva revealed that this project should put to rest any doubts about her musical abilities and will show that when underestimated, people will go above and beyond to prove themselves.
