Nauseouss talks about money
Dancehall artiste Nauseouss recognises the value of money as a force that connects people, cultures and nations in a global economy, as shown in his latest single aptly titled ' Money Money'.
"I sing about money because money is the common denominator, it connects us all. We all need money, it speaks a common language that everyone can understand ... without money, nothing is possible," he said.
The song was produced by Nauseouss and released last November on his own 7 Seal Entertainment label.
"The feedback I am getting from this song around the world has been great. The video has been added to major video channels all over the Caribbean," he said. He plans to release several singles in the year 2023.
"I will be dropping more music with videos through my label featuring different genres of music like trap, dancehall and Afro-dancehall this year. I am thinking about compiling an EP at the end of 2023, but only if the moment is right," he said.
The artiste, whose given name is Simon Whyte, grew up in August Town, St Andrew, where he attended Hope Valley Experimental Primary and Infant School. He excelled at football and got selected to play for the Jamaica Under-15 national team before migrating to live in Queens, New York, in 1999.
Eyes Can See, his first song, was released for Nigeri Records on September 11, 2020. He has been getting attention in dancehall circles with songs like the socially conscious Guide Over Us, and Special Attention.
