Husband won’t stop sleeping around

Dear Pastor,

My husband has not stopped seeking other women. He is always going after much younger chicks.

He tells me that he is happy with me but I tell him that I don’t understand how come he is happy with me but so many girls are running after him. He says that he is not the one running after them; they are running after him. One of my brothers works with my husband and he told me that as he travels to the rural areas, women are all over my husband. He said my husband has warned him not to say anything to me because I will fret. Sometimes my husband leaves him at a certain place, goes out with women and comes back as if nothing happened with these women, but my brother knows better. I have learnt to live with this man. He has sex with these women, but I can assure you that he supports me very well. My house does not lack anything.

Before I got married to this man, we promised that we would go out once per month. On Saturdays, he wants his soup and he does not want to be disturbed. He stays home all day and watches sports. As bad as my husband is, he gets up on Sunday mornings and we go to church, and after dinner on Sunday, he wants me in bed. But I can know when this man is tired; he does not perform very well. But he will never admit that he is having sex outside of the marriage.

My brother has become very bad because my husband left him at a bar and he got involved with the bartender; he then got her pregnant. The child is now six months old. My husband has had to be talking to my brother’s wife, begging her to stay with him. I blame my husband, but he said my brother is a big man and he should have known how to handle himself.

Now your brother has got himself into trouble with the bartender. Your husband has to be counselling your brother’s wife. Your husband is probably a sex addict. He says women are all over him and he might be speaking the truth. What is amazing is that he continues to support the family very well. That means he is either making much money or whatever he is giving the girls outside is not much. But I suppose that in rural Jamaica, many of these girls only need enough money to purchase a Sunday dinner, or to buy chicken back and rice. No disrespect to any of them.

I hope your husband protects himself and does not catch any disease and pass it on to you. I also hope that your brother’s wife insists that both of them should go to see a family counsellor.
