I am a 17-year-old boy and I masturbate every day. Some guys say when you masturbate so often, you can end up going blind. Sometimes I do it when I am having my shower, and now that I have a girlfriend, I masturbate whenever I am thinking about her. She is also 17 years old. We do not have sex very often. Both of us are still in school. She is such a pretty girl. Another man took her virginity but she said that she would like the both of us to get married. I told her that is not going to happen for now because I plan to go to medical school. Thank you, Pastor, for reading my letter.

Set your mind at ease. Masturbation does not cause blindness. If that were true, I suppose most people in the word would be blind because both males and females masturbate and some of them do it as often as you do. Even some married people engage in the practice. Concentrate on your lessons and try to avoid having sex, and if you believe that you must have sex, do not have unprotected sex.
