Dancehall artiste Cashan believes that she has finally found her true artistic voice.

The streets are saying that her latest effort, Betrayal, a feisty, hard-hitting song that speaks to the stony ground of a woman's heart after heartbreak, is one of her best efforts so far.

"The feedback has been great. Everyone loves the song because it is so relatable, and the response on social media indicates that the song is about to take off," Cashan said.

The Moneague, St Ann-raised artiste said that her own experiences inspired the song, which has racked up over 114,000 views in only 12 days.

"The inspiration behind this song is a combination of my own romantic experiences and my own observations of our everyday lives. This is something that most people have to deal with at some point. I got the beat from Ice876 Records and the chemistry just worked magic; he is a great producer," she added.

Cashan is concentrating on releasing a slew of singles with Sasaine Music Records and Ice876 Records as she pushes her career to the next level this year.

She is best known for the single Psychopath from the Jamaica Garrison Christmas album that peaked at No. 4 on iTunes and stayed on the chart for months in 2022.

Cashan, given name Sabrinia Hamilton, officially recorded her first single in 2014, titled Wife. She released her Self-Perception EP in 2020.
