Sting is ready for its grand return.

Its launch on Tuesday, which doubled as a pre-stage show mingle for many, signalled the readiness of Supreme Promotions, the organisers of Sting, for the 'Greatest One Night Reggae Show on Earth'. Sting is slated for December 26.

Both founder Isaiah Laing and veteran promoter Junior 'Heavy D' Fraser were front and centre engaging their guests on entry. Heavy D promised that Sting would be "an entertaining and incident-free show" that Jamaicans would be proud to call their own once again. Heralding entertainment of dramatic and comedic calibre for Sting, the launch got on a roll with a short skit and introduction from 'Sharon from Dung-A-Town' played by Kamala LaTouche and her confident co-host Renee Moncrieffe, where they injected historical tidbits about the iconic stage show and its contribution to Jamaica's culture. The likes of Dance Xpressionz also delivered an impressive choreography moving through music of the '90s to the present.

Several speakers, including Entertainment Minister Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, attested to Sting's contribution while sharing memories of past stagings.

Here are the highlights.
