Nichelous delivers at Reggae Vybes
Reggae artiste Nichelous delivered a great performance recently at the Reggae Vybes Dub School, an event centred around roots-reggae and rockers music.
The event, held at the Stone's Throw at 1B Mannings Hill Road, attracted a small but enthusiastic audience of reggae lovers.
Nichelous hit the stage singing Jah Alone, which elicited cheers and whistles from the audience. He then segued into Wiser and was forced to pull up as he got another forward. He later closed his set with Hail Up Rastafari.
"Word sound is power," said the artiste, whose given name is Nicholas Fearon.
He recorded his first song, Rise Marcus Garvey, for the Bonner Cornerstone label in 2012 and has not looked back since.
That song, a tribute to the pan-African giant and Jamaica's first national hero, remains one of his most enduring songs.
Nichelous worked hard to hone his craft and to overcome his fear of performing in front of a live audience.
He will be releasing an album called Balance in February 2019.
