A Chinese contractor was reportedly tied up and robbed by two men on a work site in Montego Bay, St James, last Friday.

The man, Chuan Quin, otherwise called Tony, who is a project manager of Wuhan, China, was on a construction site taking a nap in a makeshift room when two men entered and robbed him.

One of robbers reportedly held a knife at the Chinese national's throat and told him not to move or make a sound, while the other proceeded to tie his hands and feet. The robbers also gagged his mouth and blindfolded him.

The contractor was then robbed of $60,000 in cash, a black ThinkPad laptop valued at $256,500 and two cellphones -- a Vivo IQoo valued at $60,000 and a BLU, which is valued at $4,000. The robbers left the area on foot.

The victim managed to untie himself and report the incident to the police. The Constabulary Communications Unit last night told THE STAR that no arrests have been made.
