Three suspects have been taken into police custody in connection with the gruesome murder of 14-year-old Raven Wilson. According to the police's Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU), the men were picked up along Market Street in St Ann yesterday afternoon.

Up to press time last night no charges were laid against the suspects, but they were slated to be questioned by a team of detectives.

Wilson, a student of Ocho Rios High School, was reported missing on October 19. Reports from the St Ann's Bay police are that at about 6:30 a.m. on October 21, residents discovered her body and summoned them. Upon arrival of the lawmen, Raven's body was seen in a garbage bag with a wound to the face.

As the news circulated of her death, there were widespread reports that a female may have been responsible for the brutal killing of the teenager. It was also rumoured that Wilson was killed because a relative owed the perpetrators money.

However, the police have refuted those claims, stating that no females has been listed as a person of interest.
