Michelle-Ann is first female winner

Michelle-Ann Riley-Segree has never won anything in her life.

Her luck, however, would change drastically when she turned up at Joong Supermarket in Portmore, St Catherine last Saturday.

"I have never won anything before, so even if it was an icicle up there, I would be happy," Riley-Segree told THE STAR.

"It was overwhelming, it was great, it was excellent," she added.

Quite a happy camper, Riley-Segre is the first female to have won the main prize in the Maggi Mobile Road Show and Fortune Wheel Promotion. She said that in addition to being satisfied with Maggi products, the win has now made her a loyal customer.

"Maggi really has my support from this day on," Riley-Segree said.

Maggi Mobile Roadshow and Fortune Wheel promotion runs from May 7 to August 20, making some 16 stops across the island at town squares and supermarkets awarding instant prizes and a main prize all in one day. The next stop will be at Rexo Supermarket and New Champion Supermarket, Ocho Rios, St Ann.

As is the case at the various venues that the promotion has been held, patrons were given free samples of soup and a recipe demonstration by chef Roxanne Powell, who made coconut cabbage.

Dahlia Treasure, who won a pot, said she was a much deserved winner.

"Even if it wasn't a promotion, I would still have bought my Maggi products. It is a double win for me as Maggi have great products for the whole family," she said.
