Chizem teams up with reggaeton legend on new single

US-based, Jamaica-born singer Chizem recently teamed up with Panamanian reggaeton pioneer Gringo Man to record a new single, Rama Jama.

"I feel honoured to be featured on this track with Gringo Man. This is a big thing for me; Gringo Man is a living legend. I still can't believe that I recorded a song with the man who created reggaeton," she said. The entertainer believes that the song has the potential to be an international hit.

"It's lyrically on point and it was recorded on a hypnotic, up-tempo beat that makes you want to get up and dance. Not to mention the fact that it's a multi-lingual song. I did my parts in English, and Gringo Man did his in Spanish. I strongly believe that it's going to do well all over the world," said Chizem.

She also revealed that the video for Rama Jama will be filmed in Florida next month.

"We're working with a very professional video production team on this project, because we want to make a video that will capture the true essence of the song. Gringo Man and I believe in this song and we're doing everything possible to make it a hit," she said.

Chizem, given name Shanet Chisholm, made her recording debut in 2008 with the release of an EP titled Have It Locked on the Cell Block label.
